mahogany culture: exposition
Kyle D. Amir Walkes AKA Kyle D. Alchemist is a Barbados based self-taught street photographer who has been honing his skills in his genre for over 5 years. His genuine and intuitive style of street photography combines the abstract depiction of city scenes with the vulnerability of humanity. From analyzing his work; it becomes clear that Street Photography is his way of making sense of human condition.
It is also evident that the classic quote from legendary photographer Robert Capa, “If your photos aren’t good enough you aren’t close enough” is a maxim that Kyle keeps in mind whenever he shoots.
Ironically Kyle D. Alchemist considers himself to be introverted and anti-social which makes his work in this dynamic and sometimes confrontational genre even more stimulating.
